It has been 60 years and four days since Sir Arthur Conan Doyle died. Some time before that, his friends Dr. Watson and Mr. Sherlock Holmes died. It is perhaps for his acquaintance with these persons for whom he is best known.

Today I have chosen to write an article in memory of these three men. Many may think me mad for writing about two persons who are often described as "creations of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle." I respond with "poppy-cock." Without heroes, real or imaginary, this world has no life... no branch to reach for. It is void of form and joy.

It has been said "As long as someone remembers you, you have yet to die." Well, Dr. Doyle, Dr. Watson and Mr. Holmes, you all will be alive for eons to come. Dr. Doyle, I am sure that all of your works will bring joy to many. Holmes and Watson, your exploits are likely to spark the imagination of the young of our race for untold generations. I wish you all well on your journey's wherever they may be and through whatever power that allows them... whether it be the supernal or the imagination of man.

If you haven't read of these men and their antics, please pick of any book about Sherlock Holmes and Dr. Watson as recorded by their friend Sir Arthur Conan Doyle today! Perhaps the best detective around awaits you, ... perhaps other lands do as well. Dr. Doyle wrote of many lands and adventures. Keep his memory alive!
