Dear Visitor:
On July 4, 2001, I mentioned the need for Spybot Search and Destroy and Adaware Personal SE to help deal with spyware problems. I also mentioned AVG Free for virus scanning. These are great ideas.
However, these were just starters. I highly suggest you download and use Firefox for webbrowsing and Thunderbird for email. (I recommend Evolution on Linux and it will soon be available in MS Windows.) I recommend you use gaim over any given IM client. It may not do voice and video chats, but it is more secure on average. You can get all of the tools in this paragraph on The Open CD. Along with gaim, I suggest you download and use gaim-encryption.
Please, give these a try. Maybe we can start cleaning up the Internet.
Sincerely, Trever Adams
