Dear Visitor:

When society will only respond to sensational things, it will fail. When you must use shock tactics and other extreme methods to win people to your side, you have already failed! Why? Because a society that is numb to all but the most extreme is already numb to the simpler, truer things. It is numb to real love, to real patience, and to real service. Shock tactics also drive people, who would otherwise be on your side, away. It usually will only bring baser elements to your side.

Both major political parties in the United States are now engaging in these behaviors. They bring up personal things, they twist things, they accuse, they sling mud. Enough is enough. Is there no candidate who can show restraint? No candidate who can reason with logic? Is there no one with the moral guts to abstain from participating in this junk?

If the answers are "no," Heaven Help Us! If the answers are "no," then it is already too late and even heaven probably can't help us for the time being.
