The Edge
I walk to the edge as he says,
"I wonder what lies beyond."
I ran away, too scared to fly.
I would fall, that I knew.
He looked with dreamy eyes,
jumped off, and away he flew.
He knew all, grief to joy,
while I remained but a boy.
He learned to love, he learned to kiss.
He even broke a heart or two.
But in the end, he found you
and shared his all, his heart with you.
Near the edge again, I looked
through the prism that made me two.
Can I be like the other me
and tell you what I feel for you?
He learned to love, he learned to kiss.
He even broke a heart or two.
But in the end, he found you
and shared his all, his heart with you.
